What makes Chicago Commons different?
For 116 years, Commons has been at the front of Chicago’s human services efforts to help individuals, families and communities to overcome poverty, discrimination and isolation. Our mission and values are deeply embedded in the design of our five core programs (Child Development, Common Ground for Youth, Adult Education, Senior Services and Community Building), our neighborhood partnerships and our delivery of services. We measure our success not only through our performance against yearly program objectives, but most importantly, through the eyes and voices of the people and neighborhoods we serve. How are we helping residents achieve the goals they articulate for themselves, their family and their community? How are we helping create the pathways they need to fulfill their hopes and dreams?
How will my gift be spent?
Over 90% of your gift to Chicago Commons goes directly to help the individuals, families and communities we serve! In our FY2009 fiscal year (July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009) total operating expenses of $18, 641,949 were allocated as follows:
