Family Hub proudly hosted its third annual Chicago Commons Market on Saturday, July 27. This event, an evolution of our 2022 Entrepreneurship Fair, highlights the power of community collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. The market featured 37 parent vendors showcasing unique products, from artisanal crafts to delicious treats.
Before the market, participants complete a Small Business Development workshop series, gaining essential skills and tips for success. This program equips our vendors with the knowledge and confidence needed to shine.
A special shoutout to our amazing small business owners! Your dedication, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit not only enrich our market but also strengthen our community. Thank you to everyone who supported our vendors and enjoyed the festivities. We look forward to next year’s market!
Thank you to all our Family Hub staff members and program participants, the Chicago Park District, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, Instituto del Progreso Latino, Light in the Night, and the Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council! Your incredible support and collaboration made the Chicago Commons Market a success. Together, we are building a stronger, thriving community.
Chicago Commons’ Family Hub is a crucial link to career pathways and comprehensive support services, fostering family stability and empowering families to break the cycle of poverty and thrive across generations.
