Spring Luncheon 2022 – Event Photos

Thank you for joining us for our first annual Spring Luncheon with the theme of “Empowering. Building. Thriving.” We are grateful for your support and for standing behind our mission of empowering individuals, families and communities to overcome poverty and systemic barriers, embrace opportunities and thrive across generations.

Our warmest gratitude to our Grand Ave. Sponsors, US Bank and The Kaminski Family Impact Fund as well as our Taylor Sponsors, ComEd, IMC, and Northern Trust. We are grateful to all of our event sponsors for helping to make the Luncheon such a success.

Congratulations to our honorees William O’Malley and John Burns Construction Company and to U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. Thank you to Ai-jen Poo, President of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, for elaborating on the critical importance of the care economy, or “the work that makes all other work possible.” Thank you to the Spring Luncheon host committee: Juan Carols Avila, Maria Castro, Daniel Chavez, Caroline Harney, James Hill, III, Torrence Hinton, Courtney Midanek, Sharon Moy, David R. Perez, Ofelia Potter, Mary E. Timmons and John Yeager.
We are also grateful to Marvin Wilson for sharing his experience as a Chicago Commons Home Care Aide and his wise words to “do the best you can, when you can, while you can”.

We were honored to share the stage with you all.
