On May 6, Chicago Commons’ Adult Day Services in Bronzeville welcomed seniors for a vital financial fraud and scam prevention seminar in partnership with JPMorgan Chase and the Chicago Police Department. As Illinois residents lost more than $78 million to fraud last year, the event aimed to empower older adults with tools to recognize and avoid common scams.Laura Lopez and Jared Evans, both VP Community Managers at Chase led the session, reinforcing the importance of awareness and education. A representative from the Chicago Police Department reinforced the importance of reporting scams and attempted scams. This collaboration is part of Chicago Commons’ ongoing commitment to keeping seniors informed, safe, and supported in their communities.
