Volunteer
Serving more than 3,500 people annually isn’t done by our staff alone. We rely on the generosity of time from volunteers. Our volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year and can be customized to fit you or your group’s needs.
Help kids GO further
Spend some time with our children at one of our schools in Pilsen, West Humboldt Park and Back of the Yards. Opportunities include:
- Holiday food and toy drive
- School supply drive: March-June
- Outdoor/indoor beautification projects
- Classroom volunteers
Help families GO further
Commons family centered adult education allows parents/families of children in our early education schools to receive services at one of our four early education centers.
- Mentorship
- Skills based opportunities including mock interviewing
- Clothing donations for interviews
Help seniors GO further
Provide companionship and support with daily activities including:
- Reading to seniors
- Holiday/special group lunch
- Spring gardening projects
- Interactive games
