Empowering the Community

Taylor Center’s Community Resource Fair

Taylor Center’s Community Resource Fair on September 29 offered residents a chance to connect, learn, and access vital resources to enhance their quality of life. The event included 16 partners: Acero Schools, Fortius Insurance Group, Polaris Charter Academy, Healthcare Alternative Systems, Access Community Health Network, Greater West Town Project, Equal Hope, BMO Bank, Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA), KRA Corporation, State Representative Lilian Jimenez, Anixter Center, The Oral Health Forum, Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, YMCA of Metro Chicago, and the Center for Changing Lives. Thank you all for participating!

There was also face-painting, pizza, a bouncy house, children’s books giveaways, and more. Congratulations to Annie Garcia and the entire team at Taylor Center for putting together a successful event.

The Resource Fair isn’t just a one-day gathering; it’s a beacon of unity and support that reaches far beyond its event date. At its core, this fair is about neighbors helping neighbors. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose sight of community bonds and this event helps to rekindle those connections. The Resource Fair serves as a reminder that communities are strongest when they work together and support one another. As we look forward, let’s continue to build these bridges, connect with our neighbors, and empower ourselves through knowledge and unity.
